As we all know, Youtube is a very popular video website on the internet and we can also make money on it too. If you are a practising professional that teach something, you can make use of Youtube to be known about your talent or ability by sharing it to everyone thru Youtube. Call it “YouTube U” The Philadelphia Inquirer in the U.S. says more and more people are turning to YouTube for demonstrations of skills they’d like to learn.

But increasingly, the video-sharing Web site is also the place to go when you want to learn something. Be it how to do the moonwalk, fix a dripping kitchen sink, perfect a smoky-eye makeup application, remove scratches from a DVD, or even fly a plane. For many looking to learn, YouTube is now how-to tube.

And for those looking to teach, the site has opened up limitless possibilities for professionals and amateurs to share their know-how.

YouTube’s fans watch more than 1 billion videos a day, up from 100 million a day when the site launched in 2005, according to spokesman Aaron Zamost. And while YouTube does not release number breakdowns for its different categories, how-to videos are second in popularity to those that are entertainment-themed, the company says.

Making the Sprinta car perform tricks requires some skill and practice, encouraging children to spend time running around and building up their proficiency with the toy. All sound effects are to be generated by the child, again engaging and encouraging their imaginations.

The interest has been high from a number of retailers across New Zealand and Australia.

Toyworld’s buyer Repeka Haurua says the market has been calling for a toy which increases activity but still appeals to kids in the five years plus category.

Gifkins, who spent 10 years and more than $300,000 of his personal savings to create the product, says if it gets just one child off the couch then it’s been worth it!

About 16 percent of those surveyed make more than $1,000 a month (the survey included 1,104 developers and publishers). The top 1 percent make more than $25,000 a month, according to the survey by Mochi Media.

That means that Flash games are becoming more than a hobbyist market, according to the San Francisco-based company, whose mission is to help Flash developers monetize their games through ads and virtual goods sales.

The numbers of developers making money is a higher percentage than other fields such as blogging or music. The company’s first Flash Games Market Survey is the first comprehensive study of the demographics behind Flash developers.

About a third of Flash developers say they monetize their games in four different ways, including running ads or enabling micro-transactions so that players can buy virtual goods, such as extra weapons or decorative clothing.

About 58 percent use ads wrapped around games; 43 percent use sponsors, and 25 percent get revenue from licensing, ads on web sites and creating custom games for brands.

The industry is relatively young. About two-thirds of developers said they started making games within the last two years, and 75 percent of game publishers started their web site game portals within the last two years, said Ada Chen, product marketing manager at Mochi Media.

Here is a report from Jacksonville Business Journal of a teen entrepreneur who created a business out of  horror house. Jordan Renda has always loved Halloween, not so much for the trick-or-treating, but for the opportunity to scare family, friends and now, complete strangers.

The 16-year-old Creekside High School junior and now Haunted Productions LLC president is experiencing his first year in the professional haunted house industry as the creator and owner of the Night Terrors Haunted House on San Jose Boulevard. While he admits it’s been a steep learning curve, he’s already making plans for the future.

“Deep down, I probably never actually thought it would happen,” Renda said, but “the ultimate goal is to make it a career.”

Although always interested in the macabre and things that go bump in the night, Renda presented his parents with reams of research and a business plan for his haunted house idea when he was 14. Impressed with their son’s entrepreneurial spirit, Shari and Phil Renda started to take the idea very seriously, attending haunted house trade shows with Jordan, investing the family’s savings and eventually hiring two industry veterans, Dan Faupel and Nate Mitchell, to help them through the learning process.

Next halloween we can rent an old house for a month, dress it with scary things and effects and let people come in for a fee. I remember this is usually common during foundation days in school in the past, this is the right time for revival outside of the school. With the technology now and effects are getting cheaper, it can be setup with less cost and more true to life scary.

Some Twitter users bemoan the service’s 140-character limit. But to others, the restrictions are a source of inspiration.

And any technology that has the cultural impact of Twitter will inevitably be embraced by artists (if only for the publicity).

Writer Arjun Basu has made a name for himself writing 140 character stories he calls “Twisters.” Basu has gained a relatively large following on Twitter–over 8,000 followers to date–and now, one of his micro-stories has been turned into a micro-movie.

The film is part of Filminute, an annual festival of one-minute-long films that runs until September 30.

At last! finally a colored bubbles. Eversince we were kids playing bubbles are very enjoyable, it’s quite magical. As time flies by we always wondered are there any bubbles that has different colors other than a transparent colorless one? finally someone invented it and this is a sure hit to be a distributor here in the Philippines. Here is an excerpt from Wired magazine.

They’re bubbles. And they’re in color. And they wash out, rub away or plain evaporate after splattering.

Describing Tim Kehoe’s invention – Zubbles – is simple. The 15-year journey from concept to this summer’s product launch was anything but.

“If you said to me, ‘You’re going to spend a quarter of your life playing with bubbles,’ I’d have said you were crazy,” the 39-year-old St. Paul, Minn. inventor and father of five said. “You’re so afraid of that day you wake up, and somebody else is on the cover of a toy magazine with colored bubbles.”

It really was neat seeing that first colored bubble take shape, ordinary and unnatural at the same time. The Zubbles wands seem designed to create clusters of smaller bubbles which are more vibrant and dense with color. We later used some standard bubble wands with larger rings and did get some nice bigger bubbles, but along with those came a corresponding color fade. (And though the Zubbles web site includes photos of bubbles in other colors, for now there are just the two.)

And truthfully, there’s a certain joy to be had in watching the bubbles pop and splatter on clothes, plants and patio chairs. The impermanence of the splashes was as advertised: Some of the smaller patches simply faded, others rinsed out of T-shirts with a quick swish under the kitchen faucet.
