A technical research centre in Finland has developed a new clothe designed for mass production method for a wearable air conditioning technology.
The system — called Alykangas — consists of microscopic channels of plastic that can be integrated into garments, and pumped with hot or cold liquid, enabling the wearer to cool down or heat up.
This technology can have a huge market here in the Philippines because of our temperate climate. While this technology is already available, the research centre has develop a method for mass production to reduce high production costs and time.
They are currently seeking partners for the manufacturing in the sports, cosmetics and wearable tech sectors, maybe one of our big brands locally can catch on this.
